A Nigerian man’s cry for help has gone viral after it was shared on the Facebook page of popular Nigerian influencer Brian Jonah Dennis.
The anonymous individual sent a distressing message to the influencer, revealing the challenges he faces in his marriage.
According to the message, the man, a graduate of the University of Jos, works as an Okada driver (Motorcycle driver) and contributes what he can to his household.
However, his wife, who is a military personnel and the primary breadwinner, allegedly subjects him to physical abuse whenever they have disagreements.
The man’s message read, “Married men, are you happy in your marriage? My wife is a military person and the one that contributes more at home. I am an Okada driver, but I do the little I can. This woman beats me up whenever we have issues. I feel so ashamed. A graduate of the University of Jos.”
The post, shared by Brian Jonah Dennis, quickly garnered attention, sparking widespread discussions on social media about the often-overlooked issue of domestic abuse against men.
Many users expressed their concern and urged the man to seek help, while others debated the broader societal pressures that can lead to such situations.
