During a live stream on TikTok, Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage became the subject of controversy when bloggers twisted the details of an interaction during the broadcast which occurred on Wednesday night, October 9.
The live session was hosted by TikTok celebrity Peller, who was joined by friends Jarvis and Jo Blaq.
During the live chat, Jarvis asked Tiwa about her neck tattoo.
The singer, in response, showcased her neck tattoo to Jarvis, a human AI robot.
Jarvis, seemingly impressed, then mentioned her desire to get a tattoo on her waist.
Peller, however, quickly reprimanded Jarvis, insisting she was too young for such a tattoo.
In a lighthearted moment, Tiwa Savage pulled down her skirt slightly to reveal a tattoo on her waist.
Despite the innocuous nature of the interaction, bloggers began circulating headlines suggesting that the singer showed off a butt tattoo.
This misrepresentation triggered outrage, with Jarvis, one of the participants, defending Tiwa, stating, “Aunty Tiwa didn’t show her Nyash, she showed me just her tattoo.”
This controversy prompted Jarvis to issue a stern warning to bloggers.
She added, “If them no Kpaiii one of these bloggers, the rest no go learn,” expressing frustration over the continuous distortion of information by online content creators.
The incident highlights the ongoing tension between celebrities and bloggers over sensationalized reporting.
