Nigerian activist and humanitarian Martins Otse Vincent, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), has demonstrated that compassion can overcome conflict and controversy after reconciling with a market woman who previously rejected his help.
The saga began when the market woman publicly supported popular content creator Ashmusy and turned down VDM’s initial offer of ₦1.5 million.
However, the situation took a dramatic twist when the woman, in a viral video, accused Ashmusy of neglect and failing to fulfill promises made to her.
Realizing her mistake, she expressed remorse and publicly apologized to Verydarkman, seeking forgiveness.
In an emotional turn of events, VDM responded with generosity, proving that kindness prevails over drama.
On Monday, December 16, he shared a live video showcasing the moment he fulfilled his commitment to the woman. Screenshots revealed that he transferred ₦1 million to her—close to his original offer.
Further emphasizing his benevolence, VDM also gifted ₦200,000 to a POS operator who acted as the intermediary during the exchange.
The gesture has been met with widespread reactions online, with many praising VDM’s compassion and the market woman’s humility in seeking a second chance.
This act highlights VDM’s commitment to uplifting others, even amidst public disputes.
