Controversial social media personality, VeryDarkMan, has successfully raised N52 million for his newly launched Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) aimed at promoting community development and equipping public schools.
The significant amount was collected within just 48 hours, following a public call for donations.
VeryDarkMan, who shared the news through his Instagram account (@verydarkblackman), unveiled the NGO on Saturday, October 12, and urged his followers and notable celebrities such as Davido and Cubana Chief Priest to contribute. “Today is that time,” he posted, referencing previous offers of support from high-profile individuals.
Despite his controversial history and recent public feuds, including a notable spat with popular crossdresser Bobrisky, VeryDarkMan’s campaign resonated with thousands.
He emphasized that many contributions were small, often as little as N500, demonstrating the grassroots support for his cause.
Screenshots of donations were shared on Sunday, October 13, as the activist expressed gratitude to his supporters.
“Most of the money that was contributed was from N500 down. It means most of these people no get, but they want to support me. The love is massive,” he wrote.
The swift financial support comes amid growing interest in the NGO’s mission and VeryDarkMan’s assurance of transparency and accountability in managing the funds raised.
