Nollywood stars Zubby Michael and Timini Egbuson have put their public feud behind them after a clash over who deserves the title of Africa’s biggest actor.
The pair, who had a falling out earlier this year, were seen in a light-hearted moment at the premiere of Funke Akindele’s Everybody Loves Jenifa in Lagos, where they shared an embrace.
The dispute began in March 2024 on the first episode of the Prime Video reality show Ebuka Turns Up Africa.
Zubby boldly proclaimed himself Africa’s “greatest actor,” prompting Timini to challenge him, claiming he was the bigger star.
In return, Zubby cheekily boasted that he had the financial means to buy Timini.
The rivalry intensified when Timini hit back, ridiculing Zubby’s image and accusing him of showcasing borrowed cars on social media to project wealth.
“You don’t know anything about me. Just because you have these Igbo connections that lend you cars for social media, you think you’ve figured me out?” Timini shot back.
However, the tension eased when the two actors were caught sharing a light moment at the premiere. In a playful exchange, Timini humorously admitted, “You can buy me,” causing Zubby to laugh.
The friendly reconciliation offers hope for future collaborations between the two stars, showing that even the most heated feuds can end in good spirits.
