A Reverend Father who was kidnapped by unknown gunmen, has been set freed after 10 days in captivity’s den.
According to report gathered, that Father Mathew Dajo, of the Parish Catholic Church, Yangoji in Kwali Area council, was released yesterday night, 2nd December 2020, at about 9:23pm.
The source disclosed that the priest was released at an undisclosed forest, even as he declined to mention the ransom paid before he was released by his abductors.
We had earlier reported, that his kidnappers demanded N100 million as ransom.
“We give glory to God for answering our prayers as being a member of the church, our Reverend father has regained his freedom this night, but I can’t say whether a ransom was or not,” he said.
However, at the time of filling this report, the spokesperson of the FCT police command ASP Mariam Yusuf, could not be reached to confirm the release of the Reverend father.
